THE GUN SHOW
Curated by Donna Gustafson. aaaa Reception: Sunday, Feb. 18, 3-6pm.
The image of the gun is a potent symbol of power that resonates across all the usual cultural divides--urban and rural, male and female, young and old, liberal and conservative, rich and poor. This exhibition is meant to comment not simply on the violence that guns in America represent, but also to suggest some of the complexities that underlie our embrace of this violence.

American Comics Creators
Curated by Ian Dorian and James Santangelo. Reception: Sunday, Dec. 3, 3-6pm. This show takes a look at the inventive and expressive world of comic book creators, their process, and their varying socio/political messages. During the latter part of the 20th century many prestigious literary and artistic awards have been bestowed upon comic creators. As a result, the "art world" has finally caught up with and recognized this great American art form. Artists include Joe DeVito, Steve Ditko, Hy Eisman, Jim Krueger, Rags Marales, Fernando Ruiz, and Mark Texeira.

Tuttavia Povero! (Still Poor!)
Curated by Douglas Ferrari. AAAA Reception: Sunday, April 1, 3-6pm.
The Arte Povera (Poor Art) movement of the 1950s has emerged and evolved (or devolved) from artists working with discarded materials out of economic necessity—into an art for a culture that recognizes and embraces its refuse. This show explores a sampling of those artists who have become aware of our current condition of profuse refuse, as well as the inherent beauty of these abandoned and discarded everyday objects.
