Internship Opportunities for majors in:

SICA offers internship opportunities to selected area students. These internships may be used for college credit when you are enrolled in a program allowing internships or independent studies in your required field. Internships are an immeasurable tool for the serious art or art history student to become aware of the ins-and-outs of the art world. In addition, an internship with SICA is viewed as a very valuable point on resumes and college applications. Interns will not only learn all about the day to day operations of a non-profit art institute but also benefit in the following areas:

Exhibitions
•  Assist curators in organizing exhibitions.
•  Help layout, hang and install shows.
•  Correspond with artists, jurors, curators and collectors.
•  Perform research and build artist and artwork databases.
•  Help with all exhibition brochures and catalogues.
•  Help plan and facilitate exhibition receptions.

Special Events
•  Help coordinate, promote and facilitate a variety of events including weekly presentations of music, dance, performance art, poetry and films.
•  Help plan and facilitate fundraising events.  

Communications
•  Create press releases and press kits.
•  Help create advertisements and promotional materials.
•  Seek to find new and innovative ways to promote SICA's events.
•  Keep current all mailing lists and press lists.
•  Help write, design and disseminate SICA's weekly e-news.
•  Organize all exhibitions' press materials, images and press clippings.
•  Assist SICA in organizing, taping, and producing our own televised production from it art and musical series!

Development
•  Help research grants and funding opportunities.
•  Help with grant proposals and grant writing.
•  Explore ideas for future fundraising events.

•  Help write, design and disseminate SICA's weekly e-news.
•  Organize all exhibitions' press materials, images and press clippings.
