VARYING SIZES
(not yet active)

SICA is planning to have at least 15 sites in areas that are slightly off from the main "tour", but yet contiguous. They are also sites with heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The average size for these spaces is about 3-4' x 3-4' x 7'high. Several sites may be able to handle longer pieces (e.g.- 3' x 20'+/- x 7' high). You can make a submission for these sites or you may choose to have your submission to the regular Sculptoure site considered for these sites as an alternative.

THE SCUPTOURE JURORS: What are they looking for?

Rocio Aranda-Alvarado, Ph.D. (Curator, Jersey City Museum)

"My favorite kind of outdoor sculptures are those that somehow incorporate found objects - works that use recyclable materials, for example, or things purchased from the 99 cent store or any of the detritus of our world to create a new, fabulous work of art."

Dr. Donald Rothfeld, MD (Art Collector, Milburn and Monmouth Beach, NJ)

"I believe that sculpture shouldn't just sit there and take up space - it should instead be interesting enough to activate that space."

Gae Savannah (Sculptor; MFA Faculty at SVA in NYC; and Critic, FlashArt, Sculpture and d'ART)

"Seeking colorful, sensuous or offbeat sculptural configurations (not figurative) -- there's my bias in a nutshell!"
