a   Educational Funding Campaign   SICA is in the process of significantly expanding the educational component of our institution. Some of the areas we are seeking to expand are: PRESCHOOL THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL We have begun a collaborative effort with the Jewish Community Center in Deal to bring after-school art programs to their constituents. We are seeking to initiate after-school and weekend children art activities for Long Branch and the surrounding area. We are hoping to begin a Summer Art Academy to teach art in the summer toi area youth. HIGHER EDUCATION (COLLEGIATE LEVEL) OCEAN COUNTY COLLEGE & BROOKDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE– We are working closely with these institutions to bring about collaborative ventures in education. Amoung some of the areas we have submitted proposals are Sculpture I, Printmaking I, Acrylic Painting, Metal Sculpture, and Intro. to Art Therapy, and more. COLLABORATION WITH MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY SICA now has a formal agreement with Monmouth University to explore the possibility of working together on shows, programs, activities, classes, etc. MU has reacted favorably to having SICA teach some of their courses similar to our arrangement with Ocean County College.
