GENERAL INFORMATION |

Sudden Movements . . . a platform for movement artists is a monthly series of dance performance. Dancers, Dance Groups or Companies are welcome to perform their piece of 15 minutes or less. Submissions will be accepted on a “first come , first serve” basis through our website and we can only accept the first 90 minutes of dance submitted. Dancers can only perform once within a season series (eg.- Spring Series, Summer Series, Fall series . . . ) There is no submission fee or admission fee for performers. (Please Note: Dancers under 18 years of age must have written permission from a parent or guardian to perform.)
The spring series of dance performances will be held on March 19, April 16, and May 21, 2011. The summer series of dance performances will be held on June 18, July 16, and August 20, 2011. The performances will begin at 7:00 pm and a “Talk-Back” session will be held immediately after the first performance.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Floor is hard and made of concrete without a sprung surface
- Performance area is approximately 625 square feet (25 feet x 25 feet).
- General lighting only is provided. Dancers may bring their own but set-up time is limited to 5 minutes.

- There are no curtains or props. Dancers may bring their own but set-up time is limited to 5 minutes.
- A “Green Room” is provided, but must be shared by all performers.
- Ceiling height is 13 feet but some obstructions exist as low as 10 feet above the floor.
