EXPRESSIONS OF A TOWN |
SICA Hosts Expressions of a Town October 12 - 17, 2005 Expressions of a Town , a multi-media exhibit featuring art created by professional, non-professional, and student artists residing in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, will be on view at The Shore Institute for Contemporary Arts (SICA), in Long Branch, New Jersey, from October 12 – 17, 2005. The gala opening event will take place on Saturday, October 15 th , from 4-8 PM. |
Conceived by Clare DiPaolo, visual artist and art teacher at Shrewsbury Borough School, Expressions of a Town is the second event to take place this year celebrating Shrewsbury and its historic and cultural roots. Paintings, drawings, sculpture and photography, as well as musical performances, are part of the event, which also includes an exhibit by several generations of artists within the same family. The event is sponsored by the Shrewsbury Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion and support of the arts in the community.
