SICA, The Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts, is seeking images generated from your cell phone for a series of exhibitions called “Phoned-In!”. The only requirement is that they be original, unretouched photographs taken by you on your camera-phone and emailed directly to us at PhonedIn@sica.org.
Just select some of the photos you’ve taken on your phone or snap a new photo on your phone and email it to us! It’s that simple. We will reply with a link for you to remit your entry fee. |
| Proceedure |
There are two submissions deadlines and therefore two chances to be selected!
The deadlines are: OCTOBER 24, 2012 for Part 1 and NOVEMBER 16, 2012 for Part 2.
For 4 weeks after the deadline your image will be available online for visitors to see. Visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favorite. The 15 images that receive the most votes will be displayed in an on-line gallery, printed in an 8x10 (or 10x8) format and displayed in our cafe gallery. In addition, these works will be included in our PhonedIn exhibition in out mail gallery from February 2, 2013 –February 23, 2013.
SICA will print, free of charge, the initial 8”x10 images for the café gallery exhibition. However we would like to use larger images (12x15) for the gallery exhibition in February. The winners can print the images at this size and mail them to SICA, or SICA will print the image for you for a $20 charge – whichever is easiest for you.

| Selection Process |
As described above there will be a period of approximately 4 weeks after the submission deadline, during which you image will be available for viewing on our website. During this time visitors will be able to vote for one image as their favorite (We will limit voting to one vote per IP address).
We will also have voting for the winners on-line also!
